The Arab Information Project at Georgetown University's Center for Contemporary Arab Studies has established a website for "Working Papers on New Media & Information Technology in the Middle East" (at http://nmit.georgetown.edu). This project, in conjunction with the Center for Middle East Studies at the University of Arizona, aims to enhance the circulation of conference and seminar papers and other preliminary reports of new data on the conjunctions of new media, communications, and information technology in the Middle East and its overseas extensions. Contributions and suggestions are welcome and may be sent via email to Jon W. Anderson (aip@gusun.georgetown.edu). For sharing information and news about conferences, new publications, and research issues, an email listserv has also been established to link researchers on these topics.
