Notes

1) In a few cases, the attorneys consulted were contracted by Galaxy Latin America, where the author is currently employed.

2) Withholding tax rate on dividend remittances abroad was reduced to 15% on January 1, 1993 and has been the target of intense political manipulation since then.

3) Except through neutral investment, that is, certificates of participation, which only grants to their holders economic rights, without rights to vote in general ordinary shareholders’ meetings.
